The Green Drink
Many people have been asking where I buy my green drink. I don’t. I make it myself. So here is the recipe for the “green drink” and how to make it.
What You Need:
-Supplies will last you for two weeks (1-2 drinks a day)
14 Bananas
1 container of Spinach (I buy mine from Sprouts)
¼ Ib Chia Seeds
¼ Ib Flax Seeds
¼ Ib Almonds
¼ Ib Walnuts
¼ Ib Pecans
1-2 Half Gallons of Almond Milk (I buy mine in bulk at Albertsons for the whole month $1.99 each)
Jar of Honey
8 Ice cubes per drink
12 Dates pitted
What To Do:
- Put the almonds, pecans, and walnuts into the food processor. Add 3 Tbs of flax seeds and chia seeds. Then add your dates, and honey.
- For the honey you want to add enough to make everything stick together. Normally I add about 5-7 Tbs.
- Blend together. The outcome should look like dry chunky cookie dough almost.
- Now you will divide the batch into 30 medium balls (or 15 large balls)
- Once done place the balls in a Ziploc and store in fridge when not using.
- Get your ninja cup out. Add 8 ice cubes. Fill Cup with the almond milk up to the ice cube line.
- Then add a handful of Spinach. Half – whole banana, and 2 medium balls (or one large)
- Add the blending lid to the top. Place in the ninja and blend.
- Blend for a good minute to minute and half for some chucks. If you want no chunks blend for two-three minutes. (I personally like some chunkiness to it)
- Pour in a cup and enjoy.
