The Ultimate Outer Banks Netflix Series Roadtrip

Some of you know, while others do not, before we moved to California we were living in North Carolina. Now Outer Banks was not exactly filmed specifically in the OBX or even in Wilmington, NC where we were at. However, it was filmed in South Carolina which we occasionally visited. We were happy to hear a director decided to move back “home” and film a series based on the area he was from. I absolutely love this series, and it actually makes me miss North Carolina, even though I did not particularly like most of North Carolina. I miss surfing, I miss spending time on the water, I miss being able to go to the beach at any time I want and walk up and down the coast while collecting shark teeth, and I miss how “calm” North Carolina is compared to California. Do not get me wrong I absolutely love California, but every now and then I do miss parts of North Carolina that just are not here in California. Surfing is definitely not the same here, there is no such thing as collecting shells or teeth on the beaches, the “boardwalk” here is completely different from there. More specifically in Wilmington, NC I miss Wrightsville Beach and the Riverwalk. Wilmington, North Carolina will always hold a special place in my heart as well, as it is where my husband and I had our “wedding”, at the Wrightsville Manor, 3 years ago when we were only 20 + 22 years old. (Yes, we did get married when we were 19 + 21 originally, then had a family wedding a year later).
