It was a surprise that our vacation took a turn from what we had planned to do originally. For some reason a week before our vacation we decided to pull out the whole Twilight Saga series and re watch all the movies. If any of you knew me as a teen you know I was obsessed. I knew every line in every movie. This past year, 2019, filming with Robert Pattinson for a new movie happened (Tenet 2020). If this had happened 10 years ago I would of geeked out, but now it’s just a part of life. But what does that have to do with the vacation? Well we ended up flying to Seattle Washington, not specifically for Twilight but for Leavensworth,WA. However, after we landed we spent part of our vacation on a road trip to all of the Twilight filming locations. We did not even know what we were doing until we were already on our way.
The Cullen’s House in Twilight and New Moon, Portland OR – 3333 NW Quimby St. Portland, Oregon – I can only imagine how hard it was to film in this location. The roads are tiny and tight. The house is located on a curve of a neighborhood street too. Do not get me wrong the house is gorgeous, however the location of getting to it I was not a fan of. But the back of the house is to die for.
The Cullen’s House in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn 1&2, Vancouver WA – 118 Stevens Drive – Three words…. oh my gosh…this house is everything I have always dreamed of owning but in black of course. The location, the neighborhood, the view, just everything. I actually wasn’t a huge fan, at first, of Vancouver but after exploring some I realized it is 10x better than NYC, and even LA. The whole city was clean as can be, I could not believe it.
Forks, WA/ La Push Beach, WA – Even though filming did not actually happen in Forks and La Push we still stopped here. La Push is right next to Forks, WA. I will say Forks, WA was nothing like I imagined. The town is also super small. Literally I think there was one main road, that leads in and leads out, and that was about it.
